Technique

Pressotherapy is a body treatment for the elimination of fat accumulation, cellulite and fluid retention, something very common in all women. Through a controlled skin compression system, the blood supply is stimulated to facilitate the dissolution of fat.

The technique consists of applying various air pressures on different areas of the body, which act very effectively on the lymphatic system. This procedure promotes the recovery of skin elasticity, increases the supply of oxygen to the tissues, and thus facilitates tissue regeneration.

Air pressures are made in the legs, arms, and abdomen. The pressotherapy treatment equipment consists of a suit consisting of boots, abdominal girdle, and arm cuffs. The legs and / or arms are inserted into this suit, and a light massage is produced pressing the areas, to reactivate the return blood circulation, favoring the reabsorption of edema and tissue fluid. It is a method to replace manual lymphatic drainage.

The effects that pressotherapy produces in the body, both medical and aesthetic, are many: it favors return, lymphatic and venous circulation, stimulates the reabsorption of interstitial fluids, improves lymphatic drainage, has an analgesic and relaxing effect, also produces well-being and relaxation. And therefore, the skin is toned and imperfections in the treated areas disappear.

The treatment consists of 6 to 10 weekly sessions to achieve the desired effects. The sessions last 20 to 40 minutes each, and the results begin to be visible from the fourth session.

Advantages of pressotherapy

  • It is not necessary to undergo surgery because it is an aesthetic medicine treatment.
  • No type of anesthetic is used.
  • The effects and benefits of the treatment are observed externally (by improving skin imperfections such as cellulite and orange peel) but also internally, since it significantly improves our lymphatic and circulatory system.
  • Pressotherapy stimulates and tones the muscles.
  • Improved circulation in general
  • Reduces swelling in the legs
  • Eliminate fluid retention
  • Adds firmness to the skin

Pressotherapy has many benefits, although it is not a treatment specifically indicated for weight loss. It is also especially indicated in the post-operative of some surgeries to accelerate recovery. Combining pressotherapy with a healthy lifestyle provides very effective results in the aesthetics and health of the legs and abdomen.
